I’ve taken a few weeks off from blogging over the summer break. It was too hot in Sydney over most of January. Even my ceiling fans melted.
I thought I would kick start the blog by dedicating the next few posts to a favourite Aussie summer past time “the barbeque” (BBQ). We are really a BBQ nation. Everyone has one. Even people in tiny flats have a disproportionately large BBQs on their balconies.
I was a friend’s party in their flat a few years ago when the BBQ was roasting so hot on the balcony that the smoke alarms went off inside and the fire brigade turned up. The inebriated ladies thought they weren’t real firemen… you know “dress up” ones but they were real and all their gear stayed on. Good times!
So the next few posts are going to be about people you meet at BBQs, BBQ names, BBQ cooking 101.
